How do I book an Adult Class?

Adult classes can be booked online through our Join a Class button on every Adult page.Pre-booking is recommended as it helps us manage class numbers; however, walk-ins are also welcome, subject to availability.

Do I need any previous dance experience?

Accepted Answer

Not at all! We welcome adults of all abilities, whether you're taking your very first dance class, returning after a break or have been dancing for years.Take a look at the class level before booking to help you choose the most suitable class.

What do the different class levels mean?

Accepted Answer

Beginner – Suitable for those with little or no previous experience.Improvers – Ideal if you have some previous experience and are ready to build on the basics.General – A mixed-ability class where the teacher will adapt exercises and choreography to suit different levels of experience.Intermediate – Suitable for dancers with a good level of previous training and technical experience.If you're unsure which class is right for you, please get in touch and we'll be happy to advise.

What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely. There is no set uniform for our adult classes.Suitable footwear will depend on the class. Trainers are recommended for classes such as Commercial and Afrohouse, while Contemporary can be taken barefoot or in socks. Ballet shoes are recommended for Ballet.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

We recommend bringing a bottle of water with you to class. Water bottles can be refilled at the studios.Other than suitable clothing and footwear for your class, you don't need to bring anything else.

Can I join at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Our Adult Classes are open classes, meaning you can join throughout the year without committing to a full term.Simply choose the class you'd like to attend and book your place.

Question 7

How much are Adult Classes?

Accepted Answer

Our standard Adult Classes are £12 per class.We also offer a 10 Class Pass for £100, bringing the cost down to just £10 per class.The pass can be used across any of our Adult Classes and is valid for one year from the date of purchase. Class passes are for individual use and cannot be shared.

What happens if I can't attend a class I've booked?

Bookings are non-refundable. However, if you're unable to attend your booked class, your booking can be transferred to another Adult Class.Please contact us if you need to arrange a transfer.

Is there parking available?

Accepted Answer

We do not have onsite parking; however, free street parking is available on Gresham Road after 5pm.We are also conveniently located close to Cambridge city centre and Cambridge train station.

Are there changing facilities?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We have a dedicated adult changing area with toilet facilities available.Please note that there are no shower facilities.

How old do I need to be to attend an Adult Class?

Accepted Answer

Our Adult Classes are strictly for those aged 18 and over.For anyone under 18, please take a look at our Children's & Theatre School programme.

Can I book onto Pointe?

Accepted Answer

Pointe is not an open-entry class. For safety, dancers must have the appropriate level of Ballet and Pointe experience.You will be invited by the teacher to join Pointe when they feel you are ready.

I haven't danced for years – which class should I choose?

Accepted Answer

If you're returning to dance after a break, we'd recommend starting with a Beginner, Improvers or General class, depending on your previous experience.Our General classes are particularly suitable for returning dancers, as the teacher can adapt the class for different abilities.Don't worry if you're feeling a little rusty – that's completely normal! If you're unsure which class would suit you best, just get in touch and we'll be happy to recommend one.
